Universal design oriented products do not have to differentiate themselves from existing products by strongly communicating to users that they are universal design oriented. However, it is a good strategy for a company to reintroduce its universal design oriented products under a new brand name to build a level of trust with users based on the ease-of-use assurances in the company's product designs. Some companies provide products that are suitable for society and for users, but we often find that a company needs to go back and revisit the original starting points of manufacturing and design.

This universal design brand was developed with the aim of creating design applications that do not cause any physical or emotional stress to various users. A total of 11 companies began using the brand in 2003 and have implemented universal design product development based on a dialogue with their users, and by using original evaluation process. The first corporate collaboration using this shared universal design brand aims to jointly develop a wide variety of products and to penetrate the market with them under the universal design brand name "adaptic."
