Design Process of Scissors by Using original evaluation system

Tepita In 2001, we started design evaluation of many different samples of scissors. For approximately 20 months, we used original evaluation system to examine the design process for each of the products. This is a summary of the first product development case using original evaluation system.

1.Design evaluation of samples using original evaluation system. 2.Identifying problems with existing products and producing a module as a matrix for the design. 3.Verification of the design approach based on the module. 4.Production of the prototype model, and testing with users. Check and evaluate model by using original evaluation system. 5.Research on product material based on the evaluation results. Adopt a soft plastic material. 6.Production of models for user research. 7.Conducting usage trial research with diverse users. 8.Verifiying the evaluation results of the trial research. 9.Narrowing down designs for the selection of the final design. 10.Verification with users of coloring, material texture and required gripping force. 11.Final decision on the design.
